In the GEL lab, Ana is working with Professor Angelica Ronald as a postdoctoral researcher in developmental behaviour genetics on the Babytwins project headed by Dr. Terje Falck-Ytter (the DIVE lab). Ana is a developmental neuroscientist who is based at the Center of Neurodevelopmental Disorders at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. She is using data collected as part of Babytwins, an infant twin study to understand the etiological factors behind early brain and behavioral processes, including attention and behavioural control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before this, Ana did her PhD at Birkbeck researching the associations of early life visual experiences (i.e. daily use of touchscreens devices, like tablets and smartphones) on the development of visual attention and executive function. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ana is very involved in public engagement activities. Previously she has conducted public engagement activities on the topic of toddlers and touchscreens. She hopes to continue sharing and exchanging science with the public throughout her research career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
