Prof Derakshan’s research focuses on understanding the neurocognitive mechanisms behind anxiety and depressive vulnerability and targeting those mechanisms to build resilience and longer term psychological well-being using cognitive interventions

Prof Grunfeld’s research focuses on determinants of psychosocial outcomes following diagnosis and treatment (mainly among patients with benign and non-benign lesions) and on the development of interventions to support patients.

Anne Miles

Reader in Health Psychology

Dr Miles research  focuses on patient preferences for, and psychological consequences of, different diagnostic and treatment pathways, as well as public awareness of risk factors for cancer.
