Monica Siqueiros (PhD Student)

Monica is conducting her PhD at the Karolinska Institutet Centre of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (KIND) in Stockholm, Sweden under the supervision of Dr. Terje Falck-Ytter, with Prof. Sven Bölte, Dr. Erik Petterson and Dr. Angelica Ronald (GEL lab, Birkbeck) as her co-supervisors. During her PhD she is focusing on neurocognitive processes in infancy and childhood that are associated with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and their heritability within the typical twin population.  Monica studied her degree in Psychology at Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico (2006-2010). Afterwards, while working in a Child Therapy Center in La Paz Mexico, she developed an interest in ASD.  In 2013 she was awarded a scholarship from Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT) to pursue a masters (MSc) in Developmental Psychopathology at Durham University, United Kingdom (2013-2014).
